Recap: Black Daddy Day Healing Boxes

This year we pivoted from our in-person event to a special gift box centered on healing for Black Dads.

This move was in solidarity with the protests against ICE raids throughout LA and in conversation with our local partners. Given that our event was designed to be a space for Black fathers to experience healing and support, we believed it would be counter to the spirit of healing and community to proceed with our event while families are facing distress.

Our healing boxes were able to reach 50 Black Dads across the US, and we are proud to stay in commitment to celebrating Black Fatherhood while honoring the needs of our communities.
