Ajay Johnson

Compton, CA

Ajay Johnson (she/they) is a queer New Yorker who still believes the Knicks can win the championship. She works as a racial equity facilitator and transformative justice practitioner specializing in helping organizations and communities embrace values that are foundational for healing from complex trauma. As a parent she centers all things “slow” and all things “play”. Incorporating her love for flowers and her own ancestral healing technologies, she aims to build the kind of connections that remind us community is a verb.

Project: Harvest Hive is a hybrid peer to peer learning circle where Black families come together to practice, heal, and grow. It’s a space to share wisdom from our ancestors, build strong relationships across generations, and support each other in navigating family challenges. Through workshops, conversations, and shared learning, we explore ways to handle conflict, care for our emotional well-being, and create a stronger, more connected community.
