Ivory Parnell-Chambeshi

Ivory (she/her) is a mommy/mama, South Central Los Angeles native and resident, and daughter of Margie Mae Jackson and Anita Parnell. She strives to cultivate opportunity-rich, free and loving environments for Black people as a community facilitator, advocate, healer and sustainable community economic development leader.

Project: Hey Sexy: Fostering Open Communication about Sex and Values among Parents and Youth

Hey Sexy promotes spaces and conversations among parents and caregivers with the goal of creating a future where youth, particularly girls and femmes, feel empowered to seek and embrace their bodies, confidence and pleasure, by being equipped with information and the support and love of their parents to prevent risky sexual behaviors that create a lack of physical and emotional safety.
