Congratulatory Letter from Holly J. Mitchell
Dear Friends,
I am honored to extend my congratulations to Parenting for Liberation on the grand opening of their 10th anniversary exhibition, HOMEPLACE: Home as a Site of Love and Resistance.
Today’s celebration marks an important milestone for Parenting for Liberation and the many parents, children, extended family, and community members who have been part of its story since its founding in 2016. This exhibition honors the decade-long investment in the future of Black families and provides a space for healing, connecting, and building lasting relationships.
Under the leadership of Founding Executive Director Trina Greene, and with support from the teams at Parenting for Liberation, offTOP Design, and the many individuals and partners who helped make this project possible, HOMEPLACE will provide meaningful programming for families to gather and create their own visions of liberation.
On behalf of the more than 2 million residents of the Second District, I extend my best wishes to Parenting for Liberation for your continued success.
Sincerely,
Holly J. Mitchell
